My name is Ruth Neubauer I am a self-taught artist and shoemaker from Louisville, Kentucky now living in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
I draw influence from my lived experience and environments as well as more broadly pre and post industrial society, globalism, science fiction, Americana, and more.
My clogs use traditional Scandinavian and American techniques and materials alongside deadstock and other post-consumer materials. I am drawn to clogs for their utility, versatility, and tradition.
